The KING of all movie posters from the CR period; It carries Mao Yuen Xin, the middle one who is the nephew of Mao, had very close relationship with Jian Qin and Lin Biao and therefore quickly stepped down after the death of Lin Biao. This is also the only poster showing his picture so far as we know. And it is valuable also because it is a Jian Qin poster. This one, cut off horizontally in the middle but repaired without any piece missing. Looks very fresh though. The other guys include Chen Bo Da, Zhou En Lai and Kang Shen. All of them seldom appeared on poster not to mention on full color beautiful ones like this. This is a very politically sensitive poster in the period and mostly destroyed. 55x77cm

"Great Friendship"; 1951 Nov; Beijing Peoples' Art Publishing House; It features Mao's first oversea visit in his lifetime in 16 Dec 1949. Mao stayed in Moscow for over 2 months for the purpose of reaching Soviet China Allied Treaty, Greeting Stalin's 70-year-old Birthday and soliciting financial supports. Zhou An Lai (on the far right side) joined him later to assist the signing of the Treaty. Who is the leader of the meeting? Definitely Stalin who walk ahead of Mao in the poster. Rare of the rare. Poster jointly designed by Li Qi and another artist.
